The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission, in partnership with the Oregon Sweet Cherry Commission and the California Cherry Advisory Board is accepting pre-proposals for new funding consideration for the 2011 Northwest Cherry Research Review.  The Review will be held at the Confluence Technology Center in Wenatchee, WA, November 9-10, 2010. 

 The cherry advisory committee met July 26^th to set research priorities for the coming year.  To view this list, click on the link below.

All pre-proposals must be submitted using the “Pre-proposal form” which can be found on this site.  Select Proposals & Reports, pre-proposal instructions. 

Pre-proposal files will be compiled and distributed to the cherry sub-committee for review and vote. (Note: pre-proposal submissions are for new proposals only. Continuing and final reports do not require pre-proposal submission.) By September 16, researchers will be notified whether or not they are invited to present their full proposal at the Review.

Here are important dates to remember:

1.     Pre-proposals submission deadline: September 9 – 5:00pm PST

2.     Deadline for submission of approved proposals plus continuing and final reports: October 18 – 5:00pm PST

3.     PowerPoint show submission: November 3 - 5:00pm PST
