Final Report Instructions

Final reports must be submitted with the form found at the bottom of this page.
                  Below are format guidelines for submitting your report.
Incomplete or incorrect submissions will be returned. 
  


FORMAT AND TYPE
Word format, 11 pt. Times New Roman. Do not include page #’s, headers or footers. Mirrored margins; 1.25” left margin, 1” right, top & bottom margins
 

LENGTH
Maximum length is 10 pages, not including the header pages. Start proposal on separate page. 

PROJECT TITLE
Title must be identical to the previous year's title.

PI/CO-PI
Include information on each individual listed as PI or Co-PI. A Co-PI designation means that the individual is fully engaged and is contributing to the scientific research of the project. You may delete extraneous Co-Pi blocks.
 

CONTACT INFORMATION
Direct phone line and email address for contact. Do not place contact information in table format

COOPERATORS
List cooperators involved in the project. A cooperator is a company that is donating products or services, or an individual serving in an advisory capacity. 

OTHER FUNDING SOURCES
If you received funds from other agencies, please indicate the name and amount you received.

TOTAL PROJECT FUNDING
Recap the total amount funded through WTFRC, exclusive of any WTFRC collaborative expenses. 

Once complete, begin your final report on the page following the header pages and follow the format below. 

RECAP ORIGINAL OBJECTIVES
Provide a brief overview of the original goals of the project.
 

SIGNIFICANT FINDINGS
Identify the level of accomplishment of each objective. Provide a bulleted list of significant findings during the prior year(s) of the project.

RESULTS & DISCUSSION
Focus on the findings during the prior year(s) of the project. Discuss significance to the industry and potential economic benefits. Use summary graphics

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Executive summaries are required for ending projects. This one-page report should include significant progress or outcomes and summary of finding and future directions (if applicable). Formatting requirements are the same as other project reports.
 

ADDITIONAL ITEMS

  • Footnotes: Can be included with 9pt. type. (Do not place in header/footer area on page setup)
  • Pictures/graphics: When including pictures, note that books are printed in black & white.
  • Temperature reporting: Please include Fahrenheit conversion.
  • Electronic Filing:
  • When sending your report, name your file using researcher’s last name, key word and new, continuing or final report. For example: if Jane Doe was submitting a final report for her lenticel breakdown project it would be named, DoeLenticelfinal.doc.
