Kathy Schmidt has been with WTFRC since 2004 as Administrative Manager, overseeing grants and contracts as well as event planning. In addition, she oversees personnel and accounting matters, website updates and general office management.
Kathy grew up in the MacIntosh country of Plattsburgh, New York. After high school, she attended the State University of New York at Potsdam where she obtained a BA in Communications and Spanish. Kathy also received credits towards her Master’s degree in Marketing and Adult Education at Portland State University.
Mrs. Schmidt spent many years in sales with the Dale Carnegie organization, franchisee owner for Snelling Staffing Services, student placement with Syracuse University and professional development sales for Portland State University and Wenatchee Valley College.
Kathy is married to Bob who is President of Mack’s Lure, an internationally-recognized fishing lure company. They have two sons: TC, who attends Gonzaga University as a computer programming major, and Ryan, who is at Wenatchee High School. When she’s not working, Kathy is a rabid Sudoku player, and enjoys running, softball and volleyball.
